Transferring data from Dynamics NAV to eSeller Cloud
Data created in Dynamics NAV is transferred to eSeller by placing the data inside XML documents, which are then transferred through the FTP server.
This is done by using either full integration or partial integration from within Dynamics NAV. The two processes have important differences.
- Full integration transfers all the data from Dynamics NAV, such as products, menus and salespersons. If data in the eSeller Cloud does not exist in the file that is sent, it will be deleted from the eSeller Cloud.
- Partial integration only transfers select data, such as products or menus, from Dynamics NAV to eSeller and does not delete any data in the process.
Typically integrations will run automatically, but it is possible to activate them manually. To read more about this, please see manual integration.
Transferring orders from eSeller to Dynamics NAV
To transfer orders from eSeller to Dynamics NAV, Dynamics NAV makes a request to eSeller, asking for all the orders placed within a given timeframe, which is typically from the time the last order imported was placed and forward. The orders, and all their data, are then transferred by placing the data in an XML file, which is then sent through an FTP server.
This allows handling of the orders in Dynamics NAV, to read more about this, please see importing and handling orders.
Order Payment Status
When an order is placed in the webshop, the actual payment is handled by an external payment module, such as DIBS or Quickpay.
When this is completed the payment status of the order is updated to paid. This information can then be transferred to Dynamics NAV by being placed in an XML file and sent through the FTP server, updating the information inside of Dynamics NAV.
