Google Analytics eCommerce tracking

  • 14/11-2014

eSeller Cloud supports Google Analytics eCommerce tracking, which enables you to collect transaction data such as product sales, revenue and transaction length and linking these with your Google Analytics account.

Learn more about the benefits of eCommerce tracking here.

Setting up eCommerce tracking

Setting up eCommerce tracking in eSeller Cloud is easily done by adding a single line of code to the content design of the order confirmation page. This design is usually found under Design > Overall design > Content designer and selecting the "Basket and checkout" option in the drop-down.

Select the appropriate content design and go to the Definition tab of this. Paste the following line of code to the definition and save:

<eSeller:Control ControlType="GoogleAnalyticsTracking" ControlID="eCommerceTracking" DataSourceId="Order" />

In the eSeller Cloud administration, the Google Analytics account ID must be entered in the settings under Base setup > Webshops > Shop Groups > (select a shop group) > All settings. The Analytics account ID must be entered in the field PartnerProgram_GoogleAccount.
